10/14/2009

Finished up with my room today, kinda.

I put so much time into it I couldn't spent a minute more at school. One thing I learned is that I was too accustomed to things such as copiers that actually work, that can print double sided, the availability of materials, and a good paper cutter. I find myself needing more and more items, and just not being able to get ahold of them.

Right now, I'm actually online, but the connection is too slow to process anything. Luckily for me, my homeboy Aaron is setting my up a google/blogger account as I'm typing. I'm also not actually home, I hauled my computer to the other side of campus to an abandoned house just to pick up some wi-fi. I feel like it's 1995 and I'm just trying to get on my AOL, but some bastard keeps calling me. That's about how fast my internet is processing right now.

Last night after I wrote, Arqui called me up. We went out to a casino with his friends David, Andrea, his girlfriend, Aaron, David's g-thang and played BINGO, then went to a club/bar to dance. I am realizing more and more quickly I need to get over this language barrier, it would make things alot less awkward. A couple of girls who were friends with Arqui decided to show me how to do the Merengue. I busted a few moves, got a few compliments on my superior dancing abilities, and got to touch women who couldn't understand me. Not a bad night. In reality, i had alot of fun, and wasn't expecting to do this sort of thing out here at all. In fact, I was opposed to the idea, but now I know there are too many interesting things happening, and too much to learn to stop now. There really is a huge divide between classes, and you can tell who is who right off the streets. Today at school, Arqui was bragging how we had all the hottest women in the club, I laughed at the idea of being proud of it, but I can't deny the truth. Neither can I deny the truth of the sheer unadulterated techno of the clubs out here, everyone is into it. I have two choices, do, or do not. I cannot deny the power of techno.

Tomorrow heading to Puerto La Cruz and Sante Fe with the staff/faculty of my school. I'm looking forward to it.

  2. !) Your classroom looks warm and happy.
    2) Tolga and Crunch would be proud that you have succumbed to the power of techno. I will pass it along so they can feel validated.
